RHMS 320 Health Narratives
Theories of narrative as they apply to communication about health and illness; role of narratives in creating health- or illness-related identity, securing social support, creating communities. Competing narratives in interactions with health care providers. Impact of narratives in public and private medical decision-making. Prerequisites: RHMS 100. Restrictions: Junior standing required.
